Chicago-based governance, risk, and compliance enterprise software company LogicGate is establishing a new office in Bellevue, Washington, and rapidly expanding its executive team to tap into the Seattle area’s deep pool of artificial intelligence and cloud computing talent.
The strategic move comes under the leadership of newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Diego Panama, who took the helm in April to lead the company’s transition into an AI-centric platform.
Expanding Footprint in Bellevue
LogicGate recently finalized a lease agreement in Bellevue for an office space capable of accommodating up to 25 employees. The company expects to staff approximately 20 team members at the location by the end of the year.
The Bellevue facility is designed to serve as a vibrant regional hub for LogicGate’s expanding operations, blending physical workspace with access to the Pacific Northwest’s software talent pool.
“The tech talent market here is really second to none,” Panama said regarding the decision to build out the Bellevue office. “As we looked to create a hub with a vibrant office culture, Bellevue is really a stand-out option.”
Strengthening Executive Leadership
Alongside the physical expansion, LogicGate has recruited top-tier regional technology talent to its senior executive team. The company appointed Michael Schultz as Chief Marketing Officer and announced David Rostov as Chief Financial Officer.
Rostov brings extensive technology finance experience to the role, having previously served as CFO at Avalara and Identity Digital before co-founding Aurion Biotech. Based in Seattle, Rostov will manage LogicGate’s global finance and legal teams while overseeing the regional operations in the Pacific Northwest.
“We have a leadership team that can match the ambition of what we’re creating at LogicGate,” Panama stated. The executive buildout aligns with a planned leadership transition as Panama succeeds co-founder Matt Kunkel.
Transitioning from SaaS to AI-Centric Risk Management
Founded in 2015, LogicGate currently employs roughly 200 people globally, developing software that enterprise clients rely on to manage regulatory obligations, cybersecurity, and operational risk. Under Panama’s leadership, the company aims to pivot from standard software-as-a-service to an AI-driven paradigm where automated agents and human teams collaborate.
Panama acknowledged the strategic hurdles inherent in this pivot, describing the organization as “eyes wide open” regarding the execution required. “This is hard to get right — and really proud/excited about how we are going about it,” Panama noted.
The shift comes at a critical time for governance, risk, and compliance software providers, as enterprise clients face increasingly complex regulatory environments and rapidly evolving cybersecurity threats.
“Enterprise GRC is at an inflection point, and companies need a trusted AI-focused platform that scales alongside their risk and compliance demands,” Rostov said, highlighting the strategic vision that led him to join the organization.
Seattle’s Growing Enterprise Software Cluster
LogicGate’s investment reinforces the Seattle metropolitan area’s position as a premier destination for enterprise software and cloud engineering talent. The region hosts a dense concentration of technical talent built around industry giants and fast-growing software firms.
According to regional industry tracking by GeekWire, the area now hosts more than 100 corporate outposts established by out-of-state technology companies seeking localized leadership, product, and engineering expertise.
LogicGate’s move underscores how mid-sized enterprise software vendors are aggressively competing for specialized AI and machine learning engineering capabilities concentrated in the Pacific Northwest market.
Looking Ahead
As LogicGate builds out its Bellevue office over the coming months, industry observers will monitor how quickly the firm scales its local workforce toward its year-end goals. The primary benchmark for the company will be its ability to translate its regional executive hires into tangible AI product advancements.
Market watchers will also follow how effectively LogicGate integrates autonomous AI agents into enterprise risk management workflows, a transition that could establish a model for legacy cloud platforms seeking to adapt to the demands of generative and agentic AI technologies.
